Where to Print a Passport Photo for $0.39 (Kiosk Walkthrough)
You already have a compliant digital photo — here's exactly how to turn it into 2×2 prints at CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, or your own printer.
The $0.39 kiosk trick
Pharmacy photo kiosks charge per 4×6 print, not per photo. Your PassportSnap download is a 4×6 sheet with two 2×2 photos and cut guides laid out — so you pay for one 4×6 glossy print (about $0.39 at CVS, $0.33 at Walmart) instead of the $14.99 'passport photo service'.
At the kiosk choose 'Prints' → '4×6' → upload from email or the store app → select glossy → print. Cut along the dashed lines with the kiosk's paper cutter. Done in under five minutes.
Printing at home
Use photo paper (glossy or matte), set the printer to actual size / 100% scale — never 'fit to page', which shrinks the 2×2 boxes below spec. A standard inkjet at 600 DPI on photo paper passes as well as any lab print.
What agencies check on prints
Prints must be on photo paper (not office paper), undamaged, and exactly 2×2 inches. The print sheet handles the sizing; the cutter handles the edges. If your printer mangles the scale, the kiosk is the safer $0.39.
